Wedding Day Timeline
Here are recommendations for your wedding day timeline that may
help you determine the number of hours of service you will need.
If you would rather go over this via phone, just let me know, I totally encourage it!
Be sure to account for transition time between events that involves relocating or just getting people situated. (5 to 15 minutes)
PRE-CEREMONY (GETTING READY)
Pre-ceremony photos can be of great value to a wedding album. Here, we have the opportunity to document the details of your getting-ready process, people who are close to you, helping you into your dress and shoes, etc.. Macro type photos of your wedding rings, jewelry, dress, shoes, and any other items meaningful to you, and more.
For both Bride & Groom
: 1.5 hours recommended if both will be at the same general location (account for travel, if travel is necessary).
For Bride only
: 1 hour of photography recommended. This will cover photos of you getting your hair and makeup done, some candid shots, photos of your dress, bouquet, rings, etc.
We understand it is difficult to fit more than one hour or so for photography between the ceremony and reception, but any efforts to meet or exceed the recommendations below goes a long way.
-- 30 min. to 1 hour, depending on family size. These photos are typically taken immediately after the ceremony.
Wedding Party + Couple-Only Photos
-- 20 and 40 minutes respectively (1 hour total)
If your ceremony or reception location does not offer ideal spots to take these photos, we can drive to a better nearby location. Don't forget to take any travel involved into consideration when creating your timeline.
This can vary greatly, depending on what all you want to take place during your reception.
Some couples may choose to do a First Look (15 minutes) before the ceremony. If you choose to do a First Look, we can, therefore, do any of the "formals" mentioned above before the ceremony, which can give us more time and flexibility after the ceremony.
As far as outdoor photography goe
the closer to sunset, the better. If sunset is at 8PM, anytime between 7PM and 8:30PM is most ideal, allowing us the best use of
natural light without the need for artificial lighting (flash) to compensate for harsh shadows created by strong sun light. Some couples reserve some time during the reception to take some, or all, the Couple-Only photos so that we do so closer to sunset, but only a minority can afford to do so, so I am prepared to take the best photos possible at any time of day.
to check the sunset time on your wedding day.
As soon as you have a basic timeline for your wedding day, please let us know so that we can review it together. It is best to do this ASAP, or no later than
one month before the wedding
, in case changes are necessary.

Will the Photographer(s) be provided with a hot meal?
If a guest is out of his/her seat during the ceremony and potentially in the way of the photographer, do you allow the photographer to hand him/her a small card kindly requesting they remain in their seat during the Ceremony?
This does not happen often, but when it does, I find it easier to ask politely with a card than to whisper during the ceremony

USB Flash Drive
is a tangible item, a sales tax must be applied to your entire service fee when you receive photos in a USB Flash Drive. To avoid a sales tax on your full service fee, below, you must select to receive your photo files via electronic transfer. You receive the same, exact photo files as with the USB flash drive.
When you choose electronic transfer,
your purchase/package includes tangible products, such as
albums or prints
, a sales tax will be applied
to the estimated value of the product(s). For instance, a $2100 package that includes one canvas print valued at $100, totals to $2,107 after taxes, because a 7% sales tax is only applied to the $100.
Please choose one
- Please send image files in a USB Flash Drive and apply a sales tax to the entire payment balance (Engagement Session photos always sent electronically)
- Please send all image files via electronic transfer (Via Box.com for easy download)

Formals Photo Usher

Wooden hangers photograph well. Why not save you a little time and money by providing one for you on that day?
We're happy with a simple, golden wooden hanger, please bring it with you the day of our wedding!
We will have a different or custom made hanger, thank you!
Who will be taller on wedding day?
By how many inches? If not sure yet, you may type "will email later"
I've put together some tips that may be helpful for the day of your wedding. Click on the image to the right and feel free to drag it to your desktop if you wish to save it for later.
If we have not met in person, and you do not mind, I would love to get a photo of you and your fiancée! It is nice to put a face to the emails :) You may upload your photo below, or you may email it separately!
Below, please upload one or two photos of yourselves, together, where you
like how you look. And if you want to go the extra mile, one where you do not think you look good (title this file "No Good"). There is a reason for this, of course, but it is also great to put a face to the emails!
Max file size: 20MB
The photo editing process takes between 4 to 6 weeks. I ensure to take all the time necessary to deliver my best work. To help ease the wait a bit, I provide you with seven teaser photos shortly after the wedding so that you can share those right away with family and friends. Below, please indicate what type of photos you would like these teaser photos to be. For example, you may type “two group photos that include family and guests, and five couple photos”. These are your options: photos of the couple, photos of the whole wedding party, photos the bridal and groom party (only includes couple, groomsmen and bridesmaids), group photos that include family and guests, candid photos.
If we come across a photo we may like to share on our Facebook fan page, would you like to be tagged on this photo? You would get to see and approve the photo in advance.
- No, like many couples, we wish to be the only ones to share photos of our wedding day on social media
If you answered "yes", would you approve Facebook permissions that allow for your Facebook friends to see the photo post? As a thank you, you will receive 2 free additional album pages or $40 credit towards the purchase of a wedding album after receiving 30 "likes" from your Facebook friends
Thank you in advance for your support and look forward to being such a meaningful part of your wedding!
