Wedding Day Timeline
Here are recommendations for your wedding day timeline that may
help you determine the number of hours of service you will need.
If you would rather go over this via phone, just let me know, I totally encourage it!
Be sure to account for transition time (5-15 minutes) between events that involves travel or just getting people situated.
PRE-CEREMONY (GETTING READY)
Pre-ceremony photos can be of great value to a wedding album. Here, we have the opportunity to document the details of your getting-ready process, people who are close to you, helping you into your dress and shoes, etc.. Macro type photos of your wedding rings, jewelry, dress, shoes, and any other items meaningful to you, and more.
For both Bride & Groom
: 1.5 hours recommended if both will be within a 5 minute walk/drive from each other. With 2 photographers, 1 hour should be sufficient.
For Bride only
: 1 hour of photography recommended. This will cover photos of you getting your hair and makeup done, some candid shots, photos of your dress, bouquet, rings, etc.
can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 minutes, depending on the number of photos to be taken and guests' cooperation (e.g., young kids). These photos are typically taken immediately after the ceremony.
Wedding Party Photos
can take anywhere from 5-20 minutes depending on how many photos you want to have taken. When time is limited, some couples simply take a few of these at the same spot family formals immediately after the family photos. Only this way can they be done in 3 minutes.
can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 minutes, again, depending on how many photos you want. 20 minutes does not allow for much exploring but we can still get several good photos if time is limited. The longer this session, the more relaxed couples tend to be, and photos look more natural.
If your ceremony or reception location does not offer ideal spots to take these photos, we can drive to a better nearby location. Don't forget to take any travel involved into consideration when creating your timeline.
This can vary greatly, depending on what all you want to take place during your reception.
Some couples may choose to do a First Look (15 minutes) before the ceremony. If you choose to do a First Look, we can, therefore, do any of the "formals" mentioned above before the ceremony, which can give us more time and flexibility after the ceremony.
As far as outdoor photography goe
the closer to sunset, the better. If sunset is at 8PM, anytime between 7PM and 8:30PM is most ideal, allowing us the best use of
natural light without the need for artificial lighting (flash) to compensate for harsh shadows created by strong sun light. Some couples reserve some time during the reception to take some, or all, the Couple-Only photos so that we do so closer to sunset, but only a minority can afford to do so, so I am prepared to take the best photos possible at any time of day.
to check the sunset time on your wedding day.
As soon as you have a basic timeline for your wedding day, please let us know so that we can review it together. It is best to do this ASAP, or no later than
one month before the wedding
, in case changes are necessary.

Your emergency contact should be someone who will be around you the day of your wedding (e.g., a bridesmaid/groomsmen) in case you cannot be reached when necessary.
Preferably someone likely to have their phone handy and near you the day of the wedding; in case we're having trouble locating you or other urgent matters.

If a guest is out of his/her seat during the ceremony and potentially in the way of the photographer, do you allow the photographer to hand him/her a small card kindly requesting they remain in their seat during the Ceremony?
This does not happen often, but when it does, I find it easier to ask politely with a card than to whisper during the ceremony
(Per Georgia Tax Requirements)
USB Flash Drive
is a tangible item, a sales tax must be applied to your entire service fee when you receive photos in a USB Flash Drive. To avoid a sales tax on your full service fee, below, you must select to receive your photo files via electronic transfer. You receive the same, exact photo files as with the USB flash drive.
When you choose electronic transfer,
your purchase/package includes tangible products, such as
albums or prints
, a sales tax will be applied
to the estimated value of the product(s). For instance, a $2100 package that includes one canvas print valued at $100, totals to $2,107 after taxes, because a 7% sales tax is only applied to the $100.
Please choose one
- Please send image files in a USB Flash Drive and apply a sales tax to the entire payment balance (Engagement Session photos always sent electronically)
